The M.A. in Russian and East European studies is offered through the Russian and East European Institute (REEI) in IU’s Hamilton Lugar School of Global and International Studies. It offers a broad understanding of the geographical area and its peoples while providing the opportunity to examine in depth the aspect of Russian and East European studies that interest you most. It is ideal for area specialists interested in pursuing careers in government and the private sector.
M.I.S. pairing
Here you’ll blend information skills, language proficiency, and area expertise to prepare for careers at universities, libraries, corporations, archives, digital collections, nonprofits, and governments.
To successfully create, manage, and protect information systems and technologies, you must first understand their use within social, cultural, and organizational contexts.
As a Master of Information Science (M.I.S.) student, you will take a holistic approach to information science, working in the space where information, technology, and people intersect.
From IT leadership, system analysis and design to information architecture, user experience design, and everything in between, your M.I.S. education will prepare you for a successful career designing, managing, and consulting about information and communication technologies (ICT).
