The Department of Classical Studies offers two majors leading to a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree:
Classical Studies - Latin or Greek
Classical Civilization - Culture and Literature or Art and Archaeology
The Classical Civilization major offers students with little or no knowledge of the Latin or Greek language the opportunity to study Greek and Roman cultures and learn more about the origins of Western traditions in literature, art, law, medicine, and intellectual life.
In contrast, the Classical Studies major involves language study in either Latin or Greek, as well as additional coursework exploring the origins and impact of classical civilization.
The department also offers minors in Ancient Greek, Latin, and Classical Civilization. Please check your bulletin for more information about these minors.
The study of classical civilization can set you apart from other applicants to graduate and professional schools, and many graduates earn fellowships to support graduate study in law, medicine, and the arts.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students must have completed Upper Middle School Graduation Certificate with official English translation bearing the original ink seal of the school. Other English Language Requirements accepted: TOEFL with a minimum score of 550(paper-based).
