We prepare leaders for today’s and tomorrow’s science and agricultural needs in a flexible, rewarding environment. Our graduate students have the option to craft their own program, capturing their individual research interests and professional goals.
The Master of Science (M.S.) requires students to complete 30 semester hours and an original master’s thesis. Up to 12 semester hours of graduate certificate coursework can be applied toward this degree.
The Master of Science requires students to complete 30 semester hours and an original master’s thesis.
To fulfill the 30 semester hours requirement, you must successfully complete:
12 semester hours of required core curriculum courses; Presentation of thesis research at an annual MS Symposium (PP 601); Minimum of 1 semester hour of supervised teaching (PP 685); Maximum of 6 semester hours of master’s thesis research (PP 695) may be used on Plan of Work; Minimum of 6 semester hours of graduate-level plant pathology courses; Remaining hours in plant pathology or related field of study with no more than six (6) semester hours of 400-level (undergraduate) courses.
