Housed dually in the Colleges of Engineering and Natural Resources, with it’s home in the Department of Forest Biomaterials, Paper Science & Engineering combines elements of chemical engineering, chemistry, environmental science, and business management. Students are exposed to science, engineering, and cutting edge technology in a curriculum that emphasizes finding solutions to real world problems and learning how to convert trees into everyday products from shipping and packaging materials to household items and medical supplies.
