This course covers a broad spectrum of structural engineering issues specifically for civil engineering structures, with comprehensive coverage of topics related to the mechanics and design of structures made from steel and/or concrete. The course provides training in the analysis, design and assessment of structures under conventional loading conditions. It covers a broad spectrum of structural engineering issues specifically for civil engineering structures, with comprehensive coverage of topics related to the mechanics and design of structures made from steel and/or concrete.
All of our MSc courses are career-orientated and cover both theoretical background and practical design considerations. Lectures are given mainly by full-time staff but important contributions are made by visiting professors and guest lecturers who are eminent industrialists. This degree is professionally accredited by the following organisations: Institution of Civil Engineers; Institution of Structural Engineers; Institute of Highway Engineers and The Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation.
