The Bachelor of Health Science / Bachelor of Business will equip students with health knowledge and skills that will be complemented by business acumen skills. Students in this double degree will develop a set of complementary and cross-disciplinary skills and knowledge hence contributing to their future readiness and innovative abilities in their chosen career. The double degree forms an important part of Faculty of Health, Arts and Design plan to expand and strengthen the curriculum options available to students in what is an increasingly competitive market.
By expanding the choice of Health Science offerings, students will have an opportunity to study a double degree that taps into existing teaching and research strengths at Swinburne University of Technology with proven employability outcomes across the broad health sciences sector and related fields in Business.

Course structure
Successful completion of the Bachelor of Health Science / Bachelor of Business requires students to complete units of study to the value of 400-475 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
Course learning outcomes
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Health Science, graduates will be able to:
- apply health sciences concepts, practices, theories and evidence across a range of health-related issues
- retrieve, critically evaluate and communicate information about local and global health sciences issues from a variety of perspectives
- find and integrate information from a variety of sources using a range of technologies
- apply knowledge and skills associated with health sciences to a range of health-related activities, working independently and in teams
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Business, graduates will be able to:
- define and integrate theoretical principles applicable to business and apply those principles in a range of practices
- systematically review and critically evaluate research from a variety of sources in order to make informed judgements on options for innovatively solving a range of problems that arise in business contexts
- formulate creative solutions that are fit for purpose and demonstrate cognisance of the impact of business decisions on the triple bottom line
