The Ohio State University College of Medicine offers a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling. The mission of The Ohio State University Genetic Counseling Graduate Program is to train our students to be knowledgeable, compassionate and scholarly genetic counselors.
The Ohio State University Genetic Counseling Program will provide graduate students interested in entering a career in genetic counseling with an excellent integrated medical genetics graduate education at the master’s level. Students will benefit from the Institution’s environment with a culture embodied in its values of altruism, compassion, diversity, education, ethics, honesty, humanism, integrity, lifelong learning, personal and professional growth, professionalism, respect, responsibility and safe spaces. Graduates from our program will have a unique perspective on the integration of emerging genetic and genomic technologies and healthcare.
