專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Fashion Branding and Promotion is a unique combination of fashion communication and fashion marketing and management. It enables students to explore a range of roles within the fashion industry, beyond the making and production of clothing and towards a hybrid between business and communication design. Guided and supported by a knowledgeable, industry-experienced staff team, the programme provides education across the different fashion sectors and develop skills in order to undertake a number of industry roles, including Branding, Promotion and Advertising, Styling and Marketing. The programme offers a combination of courses that enable strong design and analytical skills towards the fashion industry, preparing the student in careers across and beyond fashion and design. The programme is structured under four years of progressive learning attainment and skills development. The first year focuses on initial design and marketing skills setting up the student with the fundamentals in overall photograph, design thinking, and introductions into marketing. The second year builds upon these fundamentals by introducing specialist topics such as Branding, Consumer Behaviours, and Advertising. This is supplemented with creative courses in digital film/media, typography and graphics. Third year opens up critical reflection and analysis on Fashion Styling along with Enterprise and Innovation. Similarly, supporting structures include events management, visual merchandising and fashion styling. The final Honours year would entail a two semester developed Honours project using supervisory pedagogies, being supplemented by advanced evaluative practice and review.
