在這里學(xué)什么？
This degree exposes students to a rich variety of case studies about security threats and responses, including nuclear weapons, terrorism, migration, climate change, cyber threats and civil wars. Analysis is underpinned by thought-provoking engagement with cutting-edge theories in both traditional and critical security studies, war studies, peace studies and related areas. Assessment is designed to be policy-relevant.
The diversity of the course is reflected in the topics covered including international politics, policy, research design, security in the developing world, governance, crisis management, ethical dilemmas and urban warfare. The structure and breadth of the course content enables students to gain an understanding of the fundamental theories underpinning global security, along with the opportunity to dig deeper into specific areas of interest. The course is delivered in collaboration with the Centre for Security Studies. The CSS organises various activities which students will have the opportunity to engage with.
