Studying Materials leads to wide choice of well-paid jobs and careers.Covering the fundamentals, our Materials Science and Engineering degree will give you the opportunity to explore - while deepening your knowledge and understanding of the scientific, engineering and design aspects of materials, their structure, properties, processing, in-service behaviour and environmental impact.Our Materials Science and Engineering degree is an established and proven Materials course, meeting the specific requirements of industry and relevant professional bodies. It is a varied and interesting programme which is consistently highly rated by our students.Materials advancements are identified as strategically important to the UK and world economies. Materials engineers and scientists are involved with developments in high technology engineering such as aerospace, power generation and automotive, as well as across many industry sectors and consumer goods manufacturing.**What's the difference between MEng and BEng?**The first two years of a BEng or MEng share the same content, format and structure, with a good mix of theory, application and practical content from day one. The MEng differs from the BEng course by offering the opportunity to study technical and management topics at a more advanced level.It is possible to transfer from a BEng to an MEng from the commencement of the course up to the end of the second year providing that the transfer progression criteria have been met.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) AAB (excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking, Communication and Culture and Citizenship Studies). In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. While no specific A Level (or equivalent) subjects are required, we strongly prefer combinations drawn from traditional (academic) subjects to demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These A Levels include: Ancient History, Biology, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, Government and Politics, History, Languages (non-native), Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology and Statistics.
