專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Economics with a Foundation Year enables entry into any of our Economics courses for students that are classed as elite athletes by our performance sport centre and have not got the qualifications required for direct entry.Completing a foundation year will enable you to progress onto the first year of your chosen degree course, provided the relevant progression criteria are met.Our foundation course is taught in-house by University staff including specialist Foundation teaching staff. As a student on the course you will be a full member of the University, with the same access to the Students’ Union, clubs, societies, sports facilities and support departments.You will be taught through a combination of lectures, seminars, workshops, tutorials and field trips (module choice dependent). During the year you will undertake modules in Economics, Business, Psychology with Sociology with a choice of Applicable Mathematics, and Modelling and Statistical MathematicsCompleting a foundation year can be a real attribute to your overall degree success. It not only opens doors to courses that may have previously looked closed, but also provides a sound base on which to establish a successful academic career. Many who have completed the foundation year have also said how beneficial it was to them in supporting their transition into University life

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 AAB (excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking, Communication and Culture and Citizenship Studies). In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. While no specific A Level (or equivalent) subjects are required, we strongly prefer combinations drawn from traditional (academic) subjects to demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These A Levels include: Ancient History, Biology, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, Government and Politics, History, Languages (non-native), Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology and Statistics.
