It is an extra year of study at the start of your course that leads in to a full degree programme. On successful completion of your foundation year, you’ll be ready to progress to the first year of your degree course.As a foundation year student, you’ll be a full student of the University and part of our community. We also achieved 100 per cent overall satisfaction for this course in the National Student Survey 2019.**What you will study**Our LLB Law with Criminology course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to proceed to professional legal qualifications as a solicitor or barrister and to engage critically with the principles of law. You will also gain an awareness of current issues in criminology – from debates surrounding criminal justice, to social control and the role of the police.We blend traditional and modern teaching methods to help you gain an extensive understanding of the law and the legal system, allowing you to tackle the fundamental issues of fairness, justice and equality that are at the heart of every society.
