在這里學(xué)什么？ Surrey is one of the UK's leading universities for Electrical and Electronic Engineering, with our programmes ranked 3rd in the Guardian University Guide 2019. We are ranked 7th for both Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2018.We also received 93 per cent for overall satisfaction in electronic and electrical engineering in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2017, placing us in the top 10 in the UK for student satisfaction.Developed with input from industry, our BEng Computer and Internet Engineering **(with Foundation Year)** course offer an integrated training in communications (both hardware and software), media and content delivery, and security and machine learning, developing the next generation of engineers for the internet age.Tomorrow’s connected world demands engineers with well-rounded training, spanning both electronics and cutting-edge software for the internet age. Our course is informed by our leading-edge research in next generation mobile communications, audio-visual processing and engineering for health – with on-campus facilities including our 5G Innovation Centre and new ￡12.5m Innovation for Health Learning Laboratory.Our aim is to develop engineers with a solid grounding in electronics, plus the specialist skills needed to work at the forefront of mobile and internet technology. After a common foundation year in programming and electronics, you will go on to study advanced modules in topics such as mobile communications, digital signal processing and artificial intelligence.We’re always looking to make it easier to access the education we offer, so we have launched the option of taking a degree with a foundation year.A foundation year is an extra year of study at the start of your course that leads in to a full degree programme. It’s a great option if:? You don’t have the grades for a full degree course? You have non-traditional qualifications or experience? You’re starting university after some time away from education? You’re looking for more support during the transition into university study.During a foundation year you’ll learn about your chosen subject, develop your study skills and get used to university life. On successful completion of your foundation year, you’ll be ready to progress to the first year of your degree course.As a foundation year student, you’ll be a full student of the University and part of our community. You’ll have access to all our campus facilities and support.
