The Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics with Honours is a one year full-time or two year part-time program of 80 credit points. Graduates of this program will have:
- a high level of proficiency in their chosen language
- an understanding of the basis of intellectual enquiry and of research methodology
- experience in undertaking research in a linguistics related area
- additional knowledge in some areas of culture and history relevant to their chosen language.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION
The Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (Honours) is offered full-time and part-time on campus at the Nathan campus. You may choose to study courses at other campuses if or where the program structure allows.
Students enrolling in the Bachelor of Languages and Linguistics (Honours) are required to complete coursework and a dissertation.
Coursework: You are required to attend approximately 2-3 hours of scheduled classes per week per course. Classes may be held during the day and evening.
Dissertation: During your enrolment in the dissertation component of this program, it is expected that you will be able to work independently for most of the time. The requirement for on-campus attendance is relatively flexible and unstructured. However, you will be required to meet regularly with your supervisor and it is recommended that you discuss the on-campus attendance requirements with your supervisor at the start of the dissertation.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Successful completion of the National College Entrance Examination (Gao Kao) with a minimum of 63% of the overall maximum score. IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0 or TOEFL: a minimum score of 575 or Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19) or Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50 or ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR.
