This degree includes advanced coursework in the exercise sciences, combined with a minimum of 500 hours of professional practice. You'll be prepared for work in a range of professional areas as a dual-accredited Exercise Scientist and Exercise Physiologist. Your deeper knowledge of the human body and how exercise affects it will enable you to assess, design and deliver exercise-based programs that improve health and performance, prevent chronic conditions, and treat or manage a range of health conditions.
My career opportunities
You will be prepared for work as an exercise specialist for community or sports organisations as a clinical scientist specialising in cardiac; respiratory and sleep medicine; as a rehabilitation, sports or recreation manager; strength and conditioning coach; or as an occupational health and safety officer.
Professional recognition
Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, graduates who have completed the professional practice placement courses (3006AHS and 4606AHS) will be eligible to apply through Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) to be an Accredited Exercise Scientist and Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
Graduates have two years (following completion of their studies) to submit their application to Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) for accreditation.
Pathways to further study
Graduates of this program may be eligible to apply for Graduate Diploma of Health Research (4161) and the Master of Medical Research (5626).

IELTS: minimum score of 6.5, with no subscore less than 6.0 or TOEFL: a minimum score of 575 or Internet-based (IBT) TOEFL: a score of 79 (no sub-score less than 19) or Pearson Test of English (Academic): an overall score of 58 with no score less than 50 or ISLPR: no score less than 3+ in each skill of the ISLPR.
