The Bachelor of Business has a strong practical focus, provides work integrated learning opportunities and equips you with the skills you need to get the job you want.
The course is designed to encourage you to learn through real experiences, which will help you integrate your knowledge, consolidate skills, tackle real problems, and reflect on the experience to develop your professional identity.
This degree will challenge you to take responsibility for your own learning, to engage with people through community and business, and to see yourself as a global citizen.
Course structure
To complete the Bachelor of Business, students must attain a total of 24 credit points. Most units (think of units as 'subjects') are equal to 1 credit point. The 24 credit points include 12 credit points of core units, one 6 credit point Bachelor of Business major and 6 credit points of elective units. Most students choose to study 4 units per trimester, and usually undertake 2 trimesters each year.
Overview
Public relations practitioners are 21st century communication specialists who manage and coordinate relationships between organizations, agencies and the public. With a focus on ethical and sustainable communication practices, the Public Relations major sequence builds key knowledge and skills in core public relations responsibilities such as: event management and campaigns; social media tactics and media relations; strategic planning, management and communication; and the allied field of marketing communication.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Entry for applicants with previous Tertiary, VET, life or work experience will be based on their performance in: a Certificate IV in a related discipline OR a Diploma in any discipline or 50% completion of a Diploma in a related discipline OR successful completion of relevant study at an accredited higher education institution equivalent to at least two Deakin University units OR other evidence of academic capability judged to be equivalent for example relevant work or life experience. Other English Language Requirements accepted: IELTS: Overall 6.0, no band less than 6.0; TOEFL (PBT) score of 550 Writing 4.5; TOEFL Internet Based: 65 Writing 21; CPE: 169 no band less than 169; CAE: 169 no band less than 169; PTE: 52-57 No less than 50 in each skill.
