在這里學(xué)什么？
The guiding aim of our programs in international development is to encourage thoughtful and reflexive practitioners, analysts and policymakers who understand the complexity of international development and who are able to effectively analyze and respond to challenges.
We believe that this understanding requires students to be well acquainted with the history of development thinking and practice as well as having up to date knowledge and skills relating to current best practice. Students have direct contact with senior and experienced practitioners from the development sector. A distinctive aspect of our degree programmers is the quality and experience of practitioners that teach into our subjects, including those who have worked with Oxfam, the Australian Red Cross, the World Health Organization, the United Nations and more.
The qualification awarded on graduation is recognized in the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) as Level 9.
Career outcomes
Employment in international development organizations, government and inter-governmental agencies, campaigning/advocacy organizations, media organizations, and research or training institutes, which include: AusAID (Australian Agency for International Development), the Australian Federal Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Oxfam, World Vision, Red Cross, United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
Graduates can seek employment in the following roles: development project officer; humanitarian delegate; policy and research officer (NGO, government, business, academic); journalist; communications officer; analyst; public health/emergency relief officer; campaign/advocacy officer and fundraising.

English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic): Overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0; TOEFL Paper-based Test - Overall score of 575 with 5 or better in TWE (Test of Written English); TOEFL Internet based (iBT): Overall 79 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE): Overall score of 58 with no communicative skill score less than 50, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component, Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): 176 with no less than 169 in any component.
