Become a policy-oriented development economist in government, international development organisations, consultancies or universities. Learn how to:
- design and evaluate policy, informed by latest research and best practice
- frame complex development challenges, systematically and creatively
- communicate technical analysis clearly and coherently.
As well as gaining a solid grounding in micro- and macroeconomic theory, you’ll learn to analyse contemporary theory, debates and evidence on a wide range of issues including:
- poverty and inequality

- markets for labour

- management of resource wealth
- trade and aid.
