The Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is a 400 unit Bachelor (Honours) degree. The Bachelor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship prepares students with the academic knowledge and practical experience needed to become highly competitive in rapidly changing regional, national and global economies and communities. Embedding business, innovation and entrepreneurial knowledge into a combined degree program with practical experiences gives students a substantial edge when applying for jobs in both the public and private sectors.
The Bachelor of Laws (Honours) is strongly complementary with its focus on real-world skills. Students will receive in-depth training in legal research techniques, and be equipped with advanced skills suitable for high-level legal research work or further academic study. Given the extensive regulation that applies to businesses and corporations in general, general, and to innovative business environments in particular, a law degree is a highly valued and useful asset within the business sector.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:
- Effective advanced oral and written communication skills to provide professional advice to employers, government and individual clients.
- Skills to be able to work individually or in teams.
- Critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills to analyse and solve legal problems and issues in innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Knowledge of theory, models and concepts relevant to Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Law.
- Proficiency in the utilization of information and technology in business
- Business skills that incorporate understanding of ethical, economic, regulatory and global perspectives

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.
