The Bachelor of Development Studies provides opportunities to study the causes and consequences of unequal development and assess policy options for a more equitable and sustainable future. The Bachelor of Business explores all aspects of the contemporary business environment. The combined program builds on interdisciplinary understandings of uneven development and business practice and has a practical orientation, with students learning from case studies of uneven development and real business situations in Australian and internationally.
Students will be able to pursue 4 interdisciplinary majors in the Bachelor of Development Studies:
- Cultures and Citizenship,
- Environmental Sustainability,
- Globalisation and Economic Development and
- Urban and Regional Development)
with 8 complementary Bachelor of Business majors of:
- Entrepreneurship and Innovation;
- Governance, Policy and Political Economy;
- Human Resource Management;
- International Business;
- Leadership and Management;
- Marketing;
- Sports Management;
- Tourism Management.

為來自中國的學生設計 There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.
