Honours programs in Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, International Business, and Tourism are available. Potential Honours students should consult with the Newcastle Business School towards the end of the semester prior to that in which they intend to enroll.
Program learning outcomes
On successful completion of the program students will have:
- Communicate effectively orally to varied audiences.
- Communicate effectively in writing to varied audiences.
- Work effectively independently.
- Work effectively in collaboration with others.
- Engage in critical thinking and complex analytical problem-solving.
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of theory, models and concepts relevant to the disciplines of Human Resource Management, International Business, Management, Marketing and Tourism.
- Display proficiency in the utilization of information and technology in research.
- Apply skills that incorporate understanding of global, social and ethical issues.
- Apply theory and method at an advanced level to conduct independent research/project of professional quality in their selected field.

Honours may be awarded at the following levels:

為來自中國的學生設計 There are a number of ways to gain entry to undergraduate programs at the University of Newcastle. You may be considered for admission on the basis of: a completed NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent – irrespective of age of qualification; completed or partly completed higher education studies; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate III (AQF level 3), excluding the Bachelor of Nursing; TAFE/VET qualifications, with a minimum of a completed Certificate II (AQF level 2) in conjunction with meeting additional performance based selection criteria for the Bachelor of Music and associated combined degrees; completion of a recognised enabling program within a 10 year period preceding admission to the University; overseas qualifications equivalent to Australian studies. English language requirement: TOEFL paper-based test score of 500; TOEFL internet based score of 60; IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0; PTE GSE score of 50; Cambridge English: Advanced score of 52.
