A combined B.S./M.S. program in computer science provides an opportunity for outstanding undergraduates to earn both degrees in five years. Interested students may apply after completing at least 3 upper division computer science courses, but before the beginning of the final year in the BS. In addition to fulfilling undergraduate degree requirements, B.S./M.S. degree candidates must meet Graduate Division degree requirements, including university requirements for academic residence and units of coursework, as described in the chapter “Graduate Education at UCSB.”
