COURSE OVERVIEW
On our War and Society degree you will explore the key human challenges of war, peace and conflict, opening up a range of exciting career possibilities by helping you to develop transferable skills, which are highly valued by employers.
You will be taught by leading academics who are specialist researchers in subjects such as American Studies, Classical and Egyptian Studies, History, Politics and International Relations, Literature and Media Studies.
There is also the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Hong Kong, China, Singapore or North America – an exciting and valuable experience which will further enhance your career prospects.

YOUR WAR AND SOCIETY EXPERIENCE
This degree involves studying across various subject areas, as you examine past cultures up to contemporary culture and the issues affecting the world today, and you can tailor your degree to your own interests with a wide variety of topics to choose from.
You can explore war studies, terrorism, ancient and contemporary war and conflict, human rights and global justice, gender, and conflict in European film.
WAR AND SOCIETY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES
91% of graduates are employed or in further study within 6 months after graduating (DLHE 2015).
Students on this course typically develop excellent oral and writing skills and you will learn to present your ideas in a range of formats, along with strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
