COURSE OVERVIEW
Mathematics is one of the most timeless and international disciplines in existence. Both ancient and modern, it forms the foundations upon which the modern world is built.
Contemporary science and business are underpinned by mathematics, and our degrees reflect this connection with industry.
This three-year BSc degree covers a broad base of classical and modern mathematics. It allows you to focus on one aspect of the subject, or cover a breadth of material.
Studying maths at Swansea University gives you access to world-leading teaching and cutting edge facilities in our new Computational Foundry.
As you progress, your developing mathematical abilities will combine with transferable skills which are vital to securing employment in the wider industry.

Professional Body Accreditation
Our BSc Mathematics will meet the educational requirements of the Chartered Mathematician designation, awarded by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, when it is followed by subsequent training and experience in employment to obtain equivalent competences to those specified by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for taught masters degrees.
