Research in Hispanic Studies MA allows you to research Hispanic language and culture. Alongside internationally renowned experts at Warwick's School of Modern Languages, you will deepen your understanding of existing areas of interest.
Course Overview
Are you keen to specialise in the academic study of your chosen language and culture, and do you have the motivation to develop an individual research path, leading potentially to PhD study? This course combines taught modules with language-specific research and offers an advanced preparation for doctoral research. You’ll work with the support of leading researchers, drawing on expertise in critical theory, research skills and key research themes. You’ll benefit from an introduction to critical theories and perspectives across the European and North American intellectual traditions, as well as developing your research specialism in Hispanic Studies.
Teaching
In addition to working closely with the Hispanic Studies team, postgraduate researchers in Hispanic Studies will be able to draw on Warwick’s existing strength, depth and experience in supporting outstanding postgraduate research in related areas, including the Modern Languages (French, German, Italian), Comparative American Studies, English and Comparative Literary Studies, Caribbean Studies and Global History and Culture. You will be a member of the Warwick Graduate School and will have the opportunity to access the facilities of Warwick research centres such as the Institute of Advanced Study and the Humanities Research Centre.
