In a constantly-moving environment, you'll need cutting-edge managerial knowledge and skills to make efficient business decisions.
If you have a background in economics, finance or other quantitative subjects, this MSc can help you shift your focus to a more business-oriented course of study.
You'll be equipped with the technical knowledge needed to gather and analyse data, identify sources of finance and profit, formulate strategies and manage projects. The course will provide you with knowledge and skills for a range of management roles, particularly in the financial services industry, large public sector organisations and consultancies.
Course content
In the Autumn Term you'll develop core knowledge and skills in various areas of management which have an emphasis on business finance. In the second term, two option modules give you the chance to specialise in particular areas of financial management.
Careers and skills
This course will provide you with the theoretical knowledge and technical skills needed for financial roles in private and public sector organisations around the world.
Our graduates go on to careers in all aspects of business and management. Each year, some continue their studies, joining the York Management School doctoral programme.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 For a postgraduate taught course such as a Masters, you would normally need a Bachelors degree from a recognised institution in a relevant subject. The score you will need depends on which university you attended in China and which subject you are applying to. Typically you would need at least the equivalent to a UK upper second class honours degree, however some courses will accept lower second class honours degrees. Actual requirements will vary by course: A score of 80 to 85 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:1; A score of 75 to 80 per cent is considered comparable to a UK 2:2. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability.
