在這里學(xué)什么？
Train in the methods and techniques needed to apply mathematics to real world problems. Gain exposure to different disciplines and industries.
You'll develop an awareness of modern applications of mathematics in an interdisciplinary environment. You'll get professional-level training in modern mathematical methods, mathematical modelling, scientific computation and other applied techniques, with an emphasis on problem-solving.
You'll have the chance to study optional units from departments throughout the Faculty of Science, for example aerodynamics, microbial evolution or nanoscience. You'll get the opportunity to make direct contact with industrial companies and undertake a three-month project with industrial collaboration. Graduates from the course have gone on to further research in Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, and Lausanne, and academic posts in Canada, Germany, Malaysia, Sweden, the UK, and the US. Recent employers include Barclays Capital, British Aerospace, Network Rail, Pfizer, and Powergen.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Applicants must have a first or 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject, from a recognized university. A Masters degree or appropriate research training is also desirable. We consider applicants without Masters or appropriate research training on a case by case basis. We might require applicants to satisfactorily complete one of our Masters programmes, or to attend some/all of the units of our MRes programmes while undertaking the MPhil or PhD programme. English language requirement: IELTS 7 (with no less than 6.5 in each component).
