在這里學什么？
Our course brings together architectural design and engineering so you can create spaces that are practical and sustainable as well as beautiful. You'll learn how to design buildings with low-carbon footprints and a focus on comfortable and healthy living. There is a need for trained professionals who know how to reduce the environmental impact of construction. We'll help you develop your design and technical skills throughout the course to meet this need. As part of this degree, you can also take an optional five-day intensive course in Passivhaus design. This gives you the opportunity and training to become a qualified Passivhaus designer or consultant. Your knowledge will prepare you for a career in industry, research or academia where you can make a valuable contribution to sustainable development. You’ll graduate equipped to: reappraise the design process and apply engineering principles to building design; understand how people use buildings to inform your design solutions; research and use new concepts and technologies to develop sustainable building strategies.
Use specialist facilities
We have a range of facilities to support your studies including environmental monitoring facilities and an artificial sky with light meters. You’ll also have access to specialist computer and software facilities for environmental modelling. Our laboratories contain equipment that exceed industry standards

Our course prepares you for a career in industry, research or academia by giving you the knowledge to make a valuable contribution to sustainable development. We work with industry partners to make sure that your studies reflect good practice in environmental design. Our graduates have gone on to work in some of the top UK and international engineering and design companies, including BuroHappold, ARUP and SWECO.

為來自中國的學生設(shè)計 Applicants must have a first or 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject, from a recognized university. A Masters degree or appropriate research training is also desirable. We consider applicants without Masters or appropriate research training on a case by case basis. We might require applicants to satisfactorily complete one of our Masters programmes, or to attend some/all of the units of our MRes programmes while undertaking the MPhil or PhD programme. English language requirement: IELTS 7 (with no less than 6.5 in each component).
