專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Engineering is a broad subject, encompassing many different activities across various fields of human endeavour. While engineers work in many different industries, from aerospace and automotive to energy and medicine, all engineers use creativity to design solutions to the problems we face in the world today. Engineering is one of the most satisfying professions. You get results and, at the end of the day, you get to see your work in action. As an Engineer, you need to be good at mathematics and to have a sound grasp of basic sciences, but you must also be creative and be able to sell your ideas to clients and colleagues.The School of Engineering follows a general engineering model, which means all BEng Engineering (4 years) and MEng Engineering (5 years) students study the fundamentals of engineering during their first two years before transferring to one of our specialist degree programmes by the start of year 3: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering. The four year BEng Engineering honours and five year MEng Engineering honours programmes are therefore ideally suited to students who are not sure which branch of engineering they wish to specialise in at the time of applying.**Ranked in the Ten best UK universities to study engineering (The Telegraph, 2018)**

Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Science: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in two science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Engineering: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in Maths and Physics science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Law: Students with overall scores of 85% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. IELTS overall score - 6.0, Listening - 5.5 or above, Reading - 5.5 or above, Speaking - 5.5 or above, Writing - 6.0 or above. TOEFL iBT overall score - 78, Listening - 17 or above, Reading - 18 or above, Speaking - 20 or above, Writing - 21 or above.
