在這里學什么？ Virtually every product in modern life has probably been touched in some way by a mechanical engineer. It is not surprising therefore that Mechanical Engineering is regarded as one of the most diverse engineering disciplines. This programme offers up a learning experience specifically aimed at enhancing skills for the oil and gas industry. Mechanical engineering is concerned with creative and imaginative use of engineering principles and science to shape the world around us, through the development of new materials, technologies, processes and products. Mechanical engineers design and develop everything that moves or has moving parts, ranging from space craft and aeroplanes to racing cars, from household goods like refrigerators to the small motors that turn a CD in a CD player, from robotic control of machinery to nano technologies, from mechanical hearts and artificial limbs to fitness machines, and from oil and gas exploration and production technologies to wind turbines.The oil and gas industry in the UK has grown and strived over the last 40 years because of the engineering skills and developments in technology that have been brought to the market. As the industry continues to adapt for the next 40 years, the need for experienced, forward-thinking engineers has never been greater. This programme follows the same structure as our BEng Mechanical Engineering degree but with the introduction of a range of courses in years 3 and 4 which focus on the needs of the Oil and Gas industry.

為來自中國的學生設計 Students need to have a University Entrance Examination (GAOKAO): Arts and Social Sciences: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Science: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in two science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Engineering: Students with overall scores of 80% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Students must score 80% or above in Maths and Physics science subjects. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. Law: Students with overall scores of 85% and above in the Senior High School Diploma will be considered for entry. Alternatively, good scores in the GAOKAO will also be considered. IELTS overall score - 6.0, Listening - 5.5 or above, Reading - 5.5 or above, Speaking - 5.5 or above, Writing - 6.0 or above. TOEFL iBT overall score - 78, Listening - 17 or above, Reading - 18 or above, Speaking - 20 or above, Writing - 21 or above.
