This MA Strategic Studies course introduces students to the origins and evolution of key strategic concepts.
Under the expert guidance of our renowned academic, you will become familiar with examples of strategic concept application, and the problems and possibilities this poses. Reflect on the relationship between greater political ends, including the use of armed force as the tool of politics, within the context of ethical, legal and economic confines.
Collaborate with academics who have personal experience of public policy, government departments and international organisations (including NATO), or working as advisers to government (including in the UK, the US, France, Italy and Germany).
You will benefit from the high level of our research, which has been recognised worldwide by visiting professorships at leading universities. 80% of our research impact was rated world leading or internationally excellent in the latest Research Excellence Framework (2014). This programme is suitable for graduates with a background in any humanities subject, most social sciences subjects, or Law.
