專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？
BSc Economics and Econometrics with Placement Year and explore the more technical side of economics and use mathematical methods to analyse economic systems. Apply what you learn to a placement in your third year.
This course is ideal if you are strong at maths and wish to use it within the context of economics. You will develop an understanding of the conceptual underpinnings of economics and econometric methods, and how the two can be combined and used to address practical issues
Placement
During the first two years of this course you will have additional timetabled support for pursuing and applying for internships and placements. You will then can do a paid placement at a company or organisation in your third year (please note that a placement cannot be guaranteed). The Department of Economics also has a specialist placement officer who can provide you with one-to-one support in your placement applications and preparing for a placement.
Career
Our recent graduates have secured roles as economists with the Government Economic Service and consultancies such as PwC and KPMG. Others have entered related and non-related careers in finance, business, marketing, publishing, PR and media.
