The Department of Educational Psychology offers a thesis or non-thesis option that leads to the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in Special Education. This degree is offered in distance education format, requires a minimum of 36 hours of coursework, and a passing score on the comprehensive final examination. Successful completion of this degree can lead to a Texas A&M University Transcripted Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis.
The Master of Science (MS) curriculum is designed to develop new understanding through research and creativity. Students have the option to pursue a thesis or non-thesis Master of Science degree.
Credit Requirement
A minimum of 32 semester credit hours of approved courses and research is required for the thesis option Master of Science degree.
A minimum of 36 semester credit hours of approved coursework is required for the Non-Thesis Option.
