Family law focuses on laws regarding marriage, divorce, children and juveniles, guardianship, adoption and similar topics. To earn the Family Law Concentration, students must obtain a minimum of 16 hours in the below core and related courses. Students must achieve a minimum grade point average of 2.33 in courses used to satisfy the Family Law Concentration requirements. Courses offered for a grade may not be taken pass/fail in satisfaction of the Concentration requirements. Although substitutions are generally not allowed, a substitution may be permitted in unusual circumstances. A student seeking a substitution should consult with the faculty advisor.
