Our Mission: The mission of the Master of Urban Planning program is to educate students to become leaders in the planning issues and comprehensive urban development processes of the 21st Century. We achieve that mission through a master of planning education that links theory and practice, emphasizing analytical and communication skills, critical thinking, creative design, community engagement, collaborative decision-making, and democratic governance in a globalizing world.
What makes the USC Price School MUP program so unique:
Urban planning is being reshaped by an explosion of data. USC Price is committed to bridging from innovations in data, visualization, and spatial analysis to the field’s core functions at the nexus of human behavior, policy, and the built environment. USC and Price have a unique set of strengths at the intersection of spatial and visual analysis, big data, and media.
Yet simply focusing on data and technology will not bring more just cities. Big data and smart cities are too often applied in ways that are blind to questions of distribution, and that reinforce patterns of inequities. At USC Price, we are committed to linking from data to questions of equity and social justice. We have built a core curriculum that focuses on questions of justice and inclusion, and we are committed to leadership on those questions.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Applicants must have a Bachelor degree earned at an institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. English language requirement: TOEFL: 90 or above, with 20 or above in each section; IELTS: 6.5 or above, with 6 or above on each band.
