The MS in Biomedical Engineering (Neuroengineering) is designed to be completed in one calendar year of full-time study beyond the Bachelor of Science Degree. This program can be completed through coursework that focuses on neuroengineering aspects of the biomedical field.
This master’s program provides students with a broad background, linking physiology with engineering science. The curriculum also covers the necessary foundation for pursuing graduate studies or entering interdisciplinary careers in the field of neuroengineering.
International Students: This program is eligible for the OPT STEM extension.
- A minimum of 28 units is required to earn the MS in Biomedical Engineering – Neuroengineering track. (Note: When applying, apply for the general MS in Biomedical Engineering program.)
- Required Core Courses: 21 units – BME 501, 502, 511, 513, 533, 552, and 575.
- Technical Elective Courses: 7 units
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required for graduation.
