專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Education Studies is a broad multi-disciplinary degree, designed for the intellectually and practically curious. From the philosophical foundations of schooling, to the political implications of policy, education is a vast field that has multiple avenues to approach a seemingly straightforward subject. Our degree goes far beyond any classroom and considers education, people and their relationship to the ever-changing world. **Course Structure**The breadth of our modules allows for the creation of pathways through the course. This may be linked to one of the degree's four strands of educational expertise: pragmatic; sociological-philosophical; psychological; and international-intercultural education. You will also study modules in the Department of Sociology.**Core modules include:**- Historical and Philosophical Ideas of Education - Contemporary Issues and evidence in Education **A range of modules in Sociology such as:**- Societies in Transition- Modern & Contemporary Sociological Theory- Educational Research Methods - Dissertation. **Optional Modules available in previous years include:**- Higher Education: Issues of Inclusion and Exclusion- Constructing Childhood and Youth- Assessing Education - Identity, Culture and Education- Learning and Development in Childhood- Wider Contexts of Education- Disability and Educational Needs: Impairment, Empowerment and Education- Disability and Education Needs: What’s so ‘Special’ about SEND?- Education in a Global Age- Understanding the Arts in Education- Evidence and Educational Policy - The Social Life of Education- Learning Sciences.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) General information on subjects/grades required for entry:A*A* in Maths and Further Maths at A Level plus A in a third subject; OR A*A in Maths and Further Maths at A Level (either way) plus A in a third subject plus suitable performance on the University?s Admission Test (TMUA); OR A* in Maths at A Level, A in AS Level Further Maths and AA in two further subjects plus suitable performance on the University?s Admission Test (TMUA); OR A*A at A Level in Maths and Further Maths (either way) plus A in a third subject plus 1 in any STEP. Please see our website for further information regarding the University's Admission Test. Specific subjects excluded for entry:General Studies and Critical Thinking.
