The Master of Financial Management (MFM) prepares professional accountants or other finance professionals who want to become financial managers and aspire to the roles of Controller, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer.
Students are required to complete a minimum of ★39 in coursework, including a ★6 capstone course.
Coursework (★33):
Three ★3 required MFM core courses

FIN 806
FIN 808
Eight ★3 MFM electives chosen from an approved list
Capstone Course (★6):
FIN 888 - Strategic Financial Management (★6 capstone project)
Ethics Requirement:
The FGSR Academic Integrity and Ethics Training Requirement is fulfilled through registration in ACCTG 812.
Professional Development Requirement:
Students in the Master of Financial Management program fulfill the FGSR Professional Development Requirement through their program.
Length of Program:
Students enrolled in the MFM program can complete the requirements in two years.
The maximum time to complete the course-based MFM program as set by the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research is six years.
