You have real-world professional experience and know what works (and what doesn’t). You already have a master’s degree in economics, public policy or management. You feel like you’ve found your calling.
Now what you need are the specialized skills, informed perspectives and nuanced understanding to be an even more effective leader in solving public problems. The two-year Master in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard Kennedy School is that vital next step.
We’ve designed the Master in Public Administration (MPA) curriculum to be flexible, allowing you to create a 64-credit study plan that integrates across disciplines and reflects your academic interests as well as your personal and professional aspirations.
As an MPA student, you'll complement your study plan by taking two required electives in a Policy Area of Concentration as well as four credits in each of these key areas:
- Economics and Quantitative Analysis
- Management and Leadership
- Public Ethics and Political Institutions
