Graduates who are skilled in genome analysis as well as ecology and evolution are rare. This groundbreaking course offers a unique combination of expertise, from bioinformatics and evolutionary inference to computational biology and fieldwork. Unearth key issues affecting the natural environment and hold a lens to recent developments in ecology and evolutionary genomics.
- Twelve-day field course to Borneo focussing on ecological processes in tropical rainforests, rainforest structure and defining characteristics
- Work with leading researchers in environmental genomics
- Strong foundation for PhD training or careers in consultancy, environmental policy and management or research
- Advanced-level training in data analysis and statistical programming
Facilities

- Advanced analytical research facilities at the Freshwater Biological Association’s River Laboratory on the River Frome in Dorset, via our River Communities Group
- Mesocosm and temperature controlled facilities at Queen Mary
