專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ This combination of subjects gives you a grounding in the fundamentals of physics and explores the workings of the universe, from our solar system to distant galaxies. You’ll spend time in our astronomy laboratory, using our robotic telescope to generate your own data. You’ll learn how to analyse data, and how to present your results.Physics at Sheffield gives you hands-on experience working with leading academics on real research projects. And there are plenty of opportunities for fieldwork: investigating dark matter 1km underground at Boulby Mine, or 2,400m above sea level at an observatory in the Canary Islands. We also send students to CERN in Geneva, for work placements and visits.The three-year BSc focuses on the basic knowledge and skills every physicist needs. If you’re interested in a research career, you might want to consider the four-year MPhys, which includes more research experience and the chance to study some topics in greater depth.Many of our graduates become research scientists in academia and industry. Others go into aerospace, telecommunications, defence and energy. Employers include Ernst & Young, BAE Systems, Rolls-Royce, Toshiba and the Home Office.

We would still require AAB from your A levels which must include Maths. Please note that this is only available to applicants who do not require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK.
