The MSUD is an academic degree focusing on urban design with associated coursework in the disciplines of architecture, landscape architecture, and community and regional planning. The program is designed to help students develop the professional skills needed to engage in improving the quality and structure of the built environment.
The Master of Science in Urban Design is an accelerated graduate program designed to prepare students for advanced work in the practice of urban design. Upon matriculation candidates must complete a flexible core sequence of design and history/theory in urban design. After successful completion of the core sequence, students are qualified to commence advanced study in the discipline, focusing on topics ranging from Sustainable Design, Cultural and Historic Landscapes, to issues of Urbanism and Landscape Architecture.
