The MSSW/MPH dual degree program combines social work and public health education using an interdisciplinary perspective, for careers in health-related communities working toward solving crucial public health and social problems.
Students interested in pursuing this degree may choose either the Clinical or the Administration and Policy Practice (APP) concentration in social work.
The MSSW/MPH program is designed to be completed in three years.
The MPH degree is widely recognized as valuable supplemental training for professionals, such as social workers, pursuing careers in health-related fields. In addition, skills learned in public health core disciplines, such as biostatistics, epidemiology, health administration and others, are essential for persons conducting clinical or community-based research or those involved with health services organizations.
