Our Health Leadership Master’s program prepares professional nurses for leadership roles in areas like project management, healthcare consulting, nursing education, global and public health, health policy, and healthcare quality improvement.
You’ll have unparalleled freedom to design the focus of your studies to best match your interests and career goals. We emphasize research and systems thinking and provide you with the chance to develop leadership skills in a myriad of fields such as policy, education, consulting, quality management, and global health.
You’ll take eight courses in the School of Nursing (two as Leadership electives) and four courses in any School within the University to enrich the interdisciplinary nature of your studies.
As a complement to this program, our students often pursue minors in Global Health, Nursing and Health Care Administration, Organizational Dynamics, and Quality Improvement and Safety Processes In Healthcare.
Both full-time and part-time plans of study are available. Many of our full-time students work part time and most part-time students are working full time. You can complete the program in 12 months of full-time study and in approximately two years of part-time study. You have five years to complete your degree and although most students take courses each term, some occasionally take one term without registering for coursework.
