在這里學(xué)什么？
The Education Entrepreneurship program provides students with the unique skills necessary to conceptualize, develop and manage 21st century educational innovations. Designed at the intersection of education, business, and entrepreneurship, the program combines rigorous academic study and practical coursework, giving students critical tools to chart entrepreneurial solutions in education.
To accommodate full-time working professionals from diverse geographic locations, the program uses an executive-style, non-traditional on-campus schedule and distance education.
- Nine on-site sessions at the University of Pennsylvania: six extended weekends across the fall and spring semesters, as well as week-long summer programs. View the current program calendar here.
- Synchronous and asynchronous online work between sessions.
- Capstone Project: creating new schools and programs, building and tech ventures, redesigning education services and systems, and leading innovation and reform efforts in educational organizations and corporations.
Graduates of the program leave with a more robust entrepreneurial mindset, concrete business and education tools, and skills to launch new ventures in their chosen area of interest.
Students complete coursework in three domains: The Foundations of Education, Business Essentials, and The Entrepreneurial Management of Knowledge.
- The Foundations of Education domain makes students know about the connections between policy and pedagogy, as well as the history, structure and goals of education.
- The Business Essentials domain focuses on marketing, finance, and operations as they pertain to venture creation – both generally, and to schools and organizations in particular.
- The Entrepreneurial Management of Knowledge domain provides students with an understanding of how to move research into practice, and manage areas such as technology strategy, intellectual property, communications, and evaluation. The combination and integration of all three areas offers students a comprehensive perspective on innovative ventures in education and positions them to create or join such ventures.
