Geography is one of the four subject disciplines within the School of Environmental Sciences at Liverpool and offers excellent postgraduate research programmes.
Overview
We aim to produce researchers with strong, transferrable research skills, who are internationally recognised in their fields and understand current environmental and academic research problems.
You’ll develop your research skills primarily by completing a project under supervision. The skills you’ll gain will typically include:-
- data collection
- manipulation of the data
- data interpretation and modelling
- critical analysis
- literature surveys
- presentation skills, through international conferences.
Research themes
Our research themes are:
- Geographies of Population and the Lifecourse Globalisation
- Development and Place Advanced Environmental Analytical Techniques
- The study of Environmental and Climate Change.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
