Overview
The MSc Economics offers students rigorous training in economic theory and analytical methods to answer pressing socio-economic questions. It places much emphasis on using the appropriate theoretical framework for interpreting various current economic and financial issues. These include the economic impact of rising US trade tariffs, Brexit, shocks in exchange rates, China as an economic power, reducing poverty, and the rise in the global market power of firms.

The MSc Economics is an excellent opportunity for students who pursue a career in global industry, banks or government organisations after having developed a sophisticated understanding of the economy and acquired state-of-the-art analytical skills. It is also well suited for students who wish to continue a professional research career, for instance working within international organisations or research institutes.

為來自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Students who do not meet the entry requirements stated above and students who hold a three-year diploma (Da Zhuan) from a recognised Chinese university with good grades, may be eligible for the University’s pre-Master's Programme delivered on campus at the University of Liverpool International College. Students need to have IELTS 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
