The online educational specialist degree in mathematics education from MU is the only program of its kind in the state of Missouri. If you have already completed a master’s degree and are seeking additional education related to leadership, curriculum development, research and improving your teaching skills, this may be the degree for you.

Program structure and topics
The online educational specialist degree in mathematics education is 100 percent online: no campus visits are required. However, you may choose to enroll in electives that require face-to-face meetings on campus.
Classes follow the same schedule as on campus. Students typically take one or two classes each semester, including summers, and finish in two years.

為來(lái)自中國(guó)的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) Minimum Admission Requirements: Have earned a U.S. bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution. Have earned a 3.0 or better GPA in the last 60 hours of baccalaureate coursework (for applicants with less than a master’s degree). Language Requirements: TOEFL Internet-based - 80 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 17 each), IELTS Academic - 6.5 (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing - 6 each), PTE - 59, Cambridge C1 Advanced - 180.
