在這里學(xué)什么？ This course places particular emphasis on progression and is notable for providing the opportunity to carry out research in each year.The first year will give you a grounding in the key skills needed for a history of art degree, studying medieval, early modern, modern and contemporary art history. You will also choose a research-oriented, small-group seminar class.In the following years you will choose from a variety of broader, thematic lecture- and seminar-based units, as well as further research-oriented units.You will undertake one substantial piece of independent research each year and write a dissertation in your final year. There is the option to study abroad in the second year.We offer a wide range of subject matter. Recent units have included: German Expressionism; Architecture and Urbanism; Cold War Culture; Introduction to Modern Art; Art and War; Sculpture and the Body; Modernism; Art and Music; Art and the Black Atlantic; and Art and the Northern Renaissance.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計 The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
