專業(yè)概況
在這里學(xué)什么？ Our BA Classics focuses on the study and appreciation of a wide spectrum of Greek and Latin literature. Languages are taught at all levels from absolute beginner onward. Some classes concentrate on building and developing language and translation skills; others focus on literary criticism and engagement with the text.In the first two years you will study both Greek and Latin language and literature, as well as choosing from optional units on a wide range of topics including Greco-Roman literature, philosophy and art. There is the possibility of studying abroad for one semester in the second year.In your third year you will continue to study at least one language and choose from a range of special subject seminars based on our academics' wide range of research interests. In co-operation with a supervisor, you will also research and write a dissertation on a topic of your choice. You will also plan, promote and execute a project aimed at presenting the ancient world to the wider public, with a member of staff acting as adviser.

為來自中國的學(xué)生設(shè)計(jì) The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students whose first language is not English. Run by our Centre for Academic Language and Development, the one-year programme will prepare you for the undergraduate degree of your choice through tailored English language and academic units. Applicants with the Gaozhong Biye Zhengshu (Senior High School Certificate) and Gaokao (Chinese University entrance exam) combined with a successfully completed appropriate foundation programme will be considered for admission to our bachelor's degree courses. Applicants who have successfully completed the first year of a Chinese university degree at a prestigious university will be considered for admission to the first year of our bachelor's degree courses. Students need to have IELTS 6.0 overall with either listening or speaking at 6.5, with no skill below 6.0.
